Who operates HypnoDiet?

Information you enter in the app

The Daily Check-In, Reverse Food Diary, HypnoDiet Pause and other reflection features allow you to record notes, feelings, habits and choices. These entries are stored locally on your iPhone using the app's device storage.

HypnoDiet does not require an account to use these features. The app does not intentionally upload your diary entries or personal reflection text to the HypnoDiet website.

Some preferences, such as reminder choices and audiobook listening progress, may also be saved locally so the app can remember your settings.

Audiobook, hypnotherapy and video streaming

HypnoDiet streams audio and video from hypnodiet.co.uk. When your device requests a recording or video, the website and its hosting infrastructure necessarily receive technical connection information, which may include your IP address, the requested media file, time of access, browser or app-related request details and network diagnostics.

This technical information may be processed by the website hosting provider for content delivery, security, troubleshooting and normal server operations. Server log retention depends on the hosting provider's configuration.

The app does not need to send the contents of your private diary or check-ins to play these recordings.

Notifications

If you enable optional morning or evening reminders, HypnoDiet uses Apple's local notification system to display them on your device. You can change or turn off reminders in the app, and manage notification permission in iPhone Settings.

Reminder notifications do not contain your private diary entries.

How information is used and shared

• Local reflections: Used on your device to show your saved entries and help you review your patterns.
• Listening preferences: Used to remember playback position and related settings on your device.
• Technical streaming data: Used as needed to deliver media and maintain secure, reliable website operation.
• Support email: If you contact us, we use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry.

HypnoDiet does not use your reflection entries for personalised advertising and does not sell your personal diary content. We do not intentionally share your locally stored reflections with advertisers.

Storage, control and deletion

You can review and delete saved entries using the relevant features in HypnoDiet where deletion controls are provided. Because this information is stored locally, deleting the app may also delete locally stored reflections and preferences.

Deleting local app entries does not necessarily delete technical web-server logs generated when streaming media, or support emails you have sent. For questions about information held by the website operator, email support@hypnodiet.co.uk.

Children's privacy

HypnoDiet is intended as a general wellbeing and personal-reflection resource, not as a service directed specifically at children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through a support enquiry, please contact us.

Security and external services

Personal reflections are stored on your device and their protection also depends on your device's security settings. Website media delivery uses HTTPS. Internet communications and digital storage cannot be guaranteed completely secure.

App downloads, purchases and some platform services are provided by Apple under Apple's own privacy practices. This policy describes HypnoDiet's handling of information and does not replace Apple's privacy notices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the app's features or data handling change. Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
